It's about time for new poll... wouldn't you think?

How do you get out of your writer's block? I know some might be experiencing it... so what help can you provide?

Go to a buffet or dumpy restaurant, watch the people.

Music. Relax, and hear music. Instrumental, soundtracks... something like that...

What I usually do is just take a break and stew for a few days, watching movies, reading books, and looking at art as much as I can. Sometimes inspiration can come from other people's creativity.

just bust your way through it. keep trying to write and think of topics, eventually you finally hit on a really good one. it sucks for a while but im not patient enough to just wait for the writers block to stop. ~laughs~

khm, well, in my case- sex. A lot of it
Also chocolate, nicotine, good food, going out, talking to people, graveyards and sometimes alcohol.
I get the weirdest ideas when combinig some of those "cures" together.

And if that doesn't work...i just leave it alone for a while and do something else that requires creativity.

The part of your brain telling you to stop must always be treated with suspicion.

Why are you a squirrel?! Why?!

Most of my stories are inspired by stray passages from books or songs which set off a chain of ideas in my head... if I really want to do some writing and have no ideas handy, I'll usually open up a book I have called "A Dictionary of Symbols" and read some of the entries until something there tickles my brain.
